Overview

In this Scientist role, you will support bioanalytical studies by setting up and operating analytical instruments and developing methods for drug quantification. You will work within a team to enable bioequivalence and pharmacokinetics research, ensuring data integrity and compliant reporting. You'll collaborate across departments to troubleshoot, document activity, and improve analytical workflows. This position offers a path to contribute to Viatris' mission of improving access to medicines globally while advancing your technical expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment (Mass Spectrometry and/or HPLC) for laboratory operations
  • Develop and validate analytical methods to quantify drugs and metabolites in biological matrices for bioequivalence and PK studies with supervision
  • Document laboratory activities per procedures and write/revise technical reports
  • Review data for scientific soundness and SOP compliance
  • Assist in troubleshooting analytical problems during study runs
  • Serve as a scientific/technical information resource for junior staff
  • Present findings to cross-department groups
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 4-7 years of experience; alternative combinations (Doctorate with 0-2 years, Master with 4 years, Bachelor's with 8 years) may be considered
  • Knowledge of quantitative bioanalysis techniques and instrumentation (HPLC, mass spectrometry, automation, sample prep)
  • Familiarity with GLP regulations
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel and instrument control/data acquisition software
  • Ability to read/interpret complex technical documents and write comprehensive reports
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and present to groups
  • Problem-solving ability with semi-standardized solutions and detailed procedures
