Overview In this role you will support project planning and execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will collaborate with the Project Manager and field team to monitor progress, prepare reports, and handle day-to-day activities. You will assist with cost estimates, bids, change orders, and subcontractor coordination to maintain contract requirements. This position offers on-site exposure, travel, and the opportunity to contribute to project success in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day project activities under the supervision of the Project Manager
- Prepare invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Track and report project progress; assist in preparing regular status reports
- Assist in development of cost estimates for assigned projects
- Solicit and obtain bids from subcontractors and material suppliers
- Support processes to expedite invoice processing and payments to subcontractors
- Assist in preparing change proposals and issuing change orders; revise cost breakdowns accordingly
- May be assigned to work on-site; assist in supervising field activities
- Communicate delays and other issues to the Owner via Superintendent and Project Manager
- Maintain relationships with Owner, Architect, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers
- Assist with start-up and close-out checklists
- Other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Self-starter with high degree of personal responsibility and integrity
- Field construction environment experience (walking in rough terrain)
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to travel long distances and work more than 40 hours per week including weekends
