Overview In this leadership role, you will steer Aptiv's global real estate strategy and transaction execution to optimize portfolio value and support growth. You'll partner with finance, legal, procurement and facilities to manage strategic real estate decisions, supplier performance, and financial planning for owned and leased properties. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across global sites, acquisitions, and spin-off-related transitions, with a strong focus on cost discipline and risk management. You'll report to senior leadership and influence enterprise objectives while shaping the real estate function for a new public company.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute global real estate strategy aligned with growth and operations
- Oversee site selection, lease negotiations, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Perform financial modelling (lease vs. buy, relocation, asset disposal) and assess occupancy trends
- Lead negotiations to ensure competitive leases and protections
- Create long-term space utilization plans and transition plans for M&A/spin-offs
- Oversee global real estate budget, OPEX, CAPEX, and vendor performance
- Manage global construction projects, design standards, and workplace optimization
- Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and sustainability initiatives
- Engage with executives, landlords, brokers, architects, and contractors
- Support due diligence for major real estate decisions and asset valuations
- Lead a global team of 20+ across construction, lease management, and facilities management
- Drive benchmarking, market analysis, and alignment with corporate objectives
- Foster a high-performance culture and cross-functional collaboration
Key requirements- Business/Finance experience in real estate transactions within industrial/manufacturing
- Ability to create business cases
- Extensive experience in corporate real estate, lease negotiations, site selection, and facilities management
- Strong financial and analytical skills with portfolio optimization and capital project management
- Experience leading large-scale real estate transactions and cost optimization
- Expertise in sustainability, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Experience managing real estate aspects of corporate growth and restructuring
