Overview In this role you join Exponent's Environmental & Earth Sciences Practice to lead and grow multidisciplinary environmental consulting efforts in water resources, water rights, and water quality. You will guide consulting teams, develop client relationships, and pursue new business opportunities while mentoring staff. The position emphasizes thought leadership through publications and conferences and offers growth through a flexible, collaborative environment. Pasadena or Oakland is preferred, with remote flexibility.

Responsibilities- Lead and develop consulting teams to provide strategic advisory and litigation support
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities leveraging Exponent's multidisciplinary capabilities
- Enhance and grow client relationships through targeted engagement
- Recruit, develop, and mentor staff in technical and business areas
- Promote Exponent's expertise via publications, conferences, and seminars
Key requirements- Advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Fifteen+ years of experience in environmental consulting
- Experience as an expert witness is a plus
- Strong reputation for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise
- Established personal consulting practice with a substantial client base
- Experience managing projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional interpersonal, writing, and critical thinking skills
