Overview In this role you will maintain smooth operation of multi-user systems and coordinate with network teams to ensure reliability. You will manage Oracle Sun Server X4 series, RHEL environments, and virtualization, while supporting applications and backups. You will analyze complex incidents, implement recovery plans, and document procedures to maintain secure, high-availability IT infrastructure. This position supports critical government and defense IT missions and requires a TS/SCI clearance. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient systems at scale.

Responsibilities- Maintain multi-user systems operations and coordinate with network admins
- Evaluate vendor products and make hardware/software purchase recommendations
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Sun Server X4 Series, x86 and RHEL with virtualization
- Perform day-to-day system administration: user management, disk and storage management, patching, NFS, backups, disaster recovery
- Identify and resolve root causes across hardware, software, network, and applications
- Ensure backups complete successfully and perform restores when needed
- Monitor system security and access control for file systems
- Maintain and patch VMware hosts and VMs, create/configure hosts and VMs
- Provide application administration for COTS, agents, and GOTS applications
- Create and maintain operational procedures and document break/fix incidents
Key requirements- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA
- DOD 8570 Compliant IAT Level II Certification
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- Experience with Oracle Sun Server X4 Series, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and virtualization
