Overview In this role you drive next-generation Beauty & Home Care formulations for North America, bridging science and customer needs. You lead formulation development, support product strategy, and partner with customers to deliver differentiated, high-performance solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate findings into commercial offerings in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities- Lead formulation development and application research initiatives for Beauty & Home Care growth in North America
- Provide technical expertise to sales and marketing through product development, testing, and application support
- Act as primary formulation scientist and technical contact for customer projects, ensuring successful execution and commercialization
- Identify unmet customer needs, analyze competitors, and apply Lubrizol tech to create differentiated solutions
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to prototype formulations for launches and market strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with customer technical teams, delivering troubleshooting and identifying new business opportunities
- Deliver technical trainings, presentations, and educational sessions to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders
- Participate in customer meetings and collaborative projects to support market growth
- Manage multiple development projects with clear progress and timelines
- Maintain accurate lab records and follow safe lab practices
- Travel up to 20-30% domestically to support customer visits and development efforts
Key requirements- 10+ years of experience in Beauty and Home Care formulation development, technical service, and performance testing
- Experience supporting customer products and commercializing new technologies in B2B settings
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making to translate experiments into customer solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present to diverse audiences
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel 20-30%
