Overview As Senior Counsel, you will support Disney's direct-to-consumer distribution efforts by advising on content licensing and Hulu + Live TV operations. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure legal alignment with business needs, while enhancing efficiency in high-volume distribution work. This role blends media, technology, and entertainment to enable strategic partnerships across the streaming ecosystem. You will shape best practices, help scale legal support, and influence key distribution initiatives that drive the DTC business.

Responsibilities- Conduct contract diligence and summarize key terms for business audiences
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual requirements for live, linear, and distribution programming
- Assist in executing and managing distribution agreements and Hulu + Live TV operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize distribution workflows and efficiency
- Support distribution initiatives for Disney's DTC services, including live events
- Exercise independent legal judgment and draft recommendation memos for senior leaders
- Identify and escalate legal risks and issues as needed
- Contribute to developing templates and processes to improve high-volume distribution support
Key requirements- 5+ years of legal experience
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating content distribution agreements across MVPDs / traditional and new media platforms
- Strong contract interpretation, drafting and analytical skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong cross-functional partnership
- Sound judgment to identify and escalate legal risks
- Interest in developing broader deal-making and negotiation skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent; admission to California State Bar in good standing or ability to be Registered In-House Counsel
