Overview In this leadership role, you oversee design and construction activities for complex projects, typically in the hundreds of millions in budget. You guide multi-disciplinary teams, define scope, schedules and costs, and ensure client service KPIs are met through design, construction and close-out. You provide guidance on medical/regional facility development aligned with master plans, manage procurement of permits, and negotiate with stakeholders and vendors. This position offers meaningful impact through shaping facilities and influencing project outcomes at scale.
Responsibilities- Direct and oversee large, multi-party construction/design projects from initiation to close-out
- Establish and maintain scope, budget, and schedule; ensure commitments are met
- Guide design stages for medical/regional facilities; compare development schemes and options
- Negotiate fees, review invoices and change orders; manage vendor and consultant relationships
- Procure permits with regulatory authorities and manage on-site design/construction teams
- Provide feedback, coaching, and development for team members; foster cross-functional collaboration
- Monitor project performance against plan; manage risks, issues, and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate resources and stakeholder engagement; communicate project status to leadership
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors and ensure SLAs and scopes of work are clear
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures across KP and business lines
Key requirements- Minimum five (5) years in construction and/or design project management
- Minimum three (3) years in a leadership role
- Minimum three (3) years delivering large, complex projects in corporate, non-profit, or government environments
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and eight (8) years of related experience or eleven (11) years total experience
