Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner

Overview

In this role you partner with senior leaders to design and implement HR strategies that enable Beam's growth and culture. You will influence organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and talent development to deliver a high-performing, employee-centered environment. You'll drive change initiatives and provide expert guidance on employee relations while collaborating with cross-functional partners to align programs with business goals. This position offers the opportunity to shape Beam's people practices at scale in a fast-growing biotech context.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic, hands-on HR partner to business leaders and design HR strategies and programs that support Beam's culture and business goals
  • Lead HR strategy for large, complex business areas to sustain growth and align with short- and long-term objectives
  • Develop deep understanding of Beam's strategies to provide effective HR partnership and improve employee experience
  • Coach executives and leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness and team performance
  • Foster leadership capability through feedback culture, development planning, and talent growth initiatives
  • Provide strategic and operational performance management guidance including coaching, talent development, and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and business leaders to implement programs and policies aligned with Beam's culture and values
  • Advise on employee relations matters, ensure legal compliance and fair outcomes while mitigating risk
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Operations, Communications, and others to align programs with business goals and manage risk
  • Identify trends and metrics with HR to develop data-driven solutions and lead cross-functional HR initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of Human Resources experience with significant HRBP experience in complex organizations
  • Proven track record in a high-growth, fast-paced commercial environment
  • Strong credibility and relationship-building with internal/external partners and vendors
  • Ability to identify business issues, propose recommendations, and drive action
  • Advanced analytical skills to synthesize data for strategic decisions
  • High energy, positive attitude, and resilience in ambiguity
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, with strong influencing skills across all levels
  • Effective coaching skills for senior leaders and performance improvement
  • Experience in managing complex employee relations, tact, diplomacy, and discretion
