Overview

In this Hospital Administrator role, you lead a high-performing 90-member team at VSV, guiding operations, finances, and people development in a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. You partner with medical leadership to improve patient care, service delivery, and growth initiatives while fostering a positive, inclusive culture. You'll shape operational excellence and ensure an exceptional experience for pets, clients, and staff. This position offers autonomy within a supportive, mission-driven network.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership for operations and financial performance
  • Manage hospital budget, forecasts, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with Medical Director to advance patient care and goals
  • Foster collaborative, inclusive culture and develop future leaders
  • Lead 90 associates including veterinarians and support staff
  • Oversee onboarding, training, performance management, and career development
  • Support recruitment, retention, and engagement of veterinary professionals
  • Drive workflow optimization and high-quality client and patient experience
  • Champion service standards and address client concerns
  • Identify growth opportunities and execute strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with marketing to strengthen referrals and community presence
  • Ensure regulatory and policy compliance across the hospital
Key requirements
  • At least 5 years of veterinary practice management and budget experience
  • College degree (MBA preferred)
  • CVPM a plus or interest in obtaining
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse audiences
  • Decision making, delegation, and results orientation
