Overview In this role you lead the Trust and Estate Administration function across a geographic region, directing a team of Trust Officers. You manage the largest and most complex trust accounts and shape client-specific investment strategies with the bank's guidance. You ensure compliance with applicable laws and the terms of governing documents while developing relationships with clients, co-trustees, beneficiaries, and attorneys. You help grow personal trust and investment management business and mentor staff to deliver results.

Responsibilities- Lead the administration of the largest and most complex trust accounts
- Confer with clients, co-trustees, beneficiaries and attorneys on establishment, administration, and operation of trusts
- Review and decide on fiduciary responsibilities for assigned offices
- Analyze trust instruments to determine duties and responsibilities
- Approve and negotiate fee schedules for trust and investment services
- Ensure tax liabilities of accounts are met
- Develop client-specific investment strategies in line with CNB guidelines
- Interface with senior management and other stakeholders on trust and investment issues
- Develop and retain personal trust and investment management business through networking and referrals
- Manage and develop the assigned Personal Trust staff, including performance appraisals and hiring decisions
- Coach staff on sales approaches and account administration
- Ensure terminations and distributions comply with governing documents
- Maintain training and licenses for internal and external programs
Key requirements- Bachelor or equivalent
- 10+ years in trust administration with broad knowledge of trust types (family, charitable, special needs)
- CTFA certification required
- Comprehensive knowledge of personal trust laws, state tax laws, and trust investment management principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong management, verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum years of experience clearly stated as 10+ years in trust administration
