Overview

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee contractual agreements with customers, lead a contracts team, and coordinate with legal, program, and customer stakeholders to protect the company's interests while ensuring satisfaction. You will navigate federal contracting, draft and negotiate terms, and mitigate risk across programs. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, negotiation, and strategic leadership in a defense-focused environment. You'll work in a hybrid setting and contribute to continuous improvement through smart process and AI-driven ideas.

Responsibilities
  • Advise leadership on contractual rights and obligations and interpret terms and conditions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations
  • Select, lead, develop, and evaluate contracts team personnel
  • Develop flow-down terms and conditions from business and contract perspectives
  • Delegate tasks to develop solutions for complex problems
  • Manage work, set objectives, and meet commitments for self and others
  • Review and coordinate approvals of contract documents to protect the company and meet customer specs
  • Act as primary interface with other departments to resolve contract-related issues
  • Engage with customers in fact-finding, audits, and formal negotiations
  • Conduct negotiations, reviews, and management of contracts and subcontracts
  • Manage contract change processes with Program Management, Engineering, and Finance to mitigate risk
  • Support proposal activities to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and company policies
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6+ years
  • DoD Secret security clearance at time of hire
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Strong knowledge of contracting and federal procurement laws and regulations (FAR, DFARS)
  • Proven negotiation, leadership, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to manage a contracts team and coordinate cross-functionally
  • Strategic thinking and proactive contract planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
