Overview In this role, you oversee daily trade partner activities, safety, and quality to ensure on-schedule home construction. You will balance project schedules with resource needs, manage the customer experience through clear communication, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve plan issues. You'll drive safe, compliant work and cost-conscious decisions that align with company standards. This position offers hands-on leadership in a large builder known for growth and inclusion, with meaningful impact on home delivery timelines.
Responsibilities- Oversee scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities and assess workmanship quality and efficiency
- Review or modify construction drawings to address plan errors or conflicts
- Adjust project schedules and resources to meet project needs and timely completion
- Ensure homes are completed on schedule and all contracts and safety protocols are met
- Monitor customer experience throughout construction and negotiate solutions for concerns
- Coordinate with Community Sales to manage community performance and customer activities
- Perform daily site inspections for safety and regulatory compliance; take action to maintain safe working conditions
- Authorize field purchase orders for materials/labor as needed
- Inspect trade partner work for timeliness and scope conformance; authorize payment when standards are met
- Collaborate with Product Development, Process Improvement, Resource Planning, and Purchasing to address plan quality, schedule adherence, and budget challenges
- Ensure work complies with building codes and workmanship standards
- Participate in trade partner recruiting and vetting
- Perform other duties as assigned
