Overview In this role you will oversee day-to-day operations for a growing CPA firm, reporting to the CEO. You will lead the administrative team, support finance, workflow, HR, and vendor relations, and drive efficiency across the firm. You'll work closely with leadership to manage budgets, utilization metrics, and deadlines, shaping internal processes to improve client and employee experiences. This position offers high visibility and the chance to impact firm-wide operations and governance.

Responsibilities- Lead the administrative team and coordinate operational priorities with executive leadership
- Support budgeting, billing, collections, expense reporting, and management reporting while tracking firm metrics (utilization, realization, capacity, deadlines)
- Oversee practice management software, client onboarding, time-and-billing, scheduling, and due-date processes
- Manage internal HR functions, talent acquisition, benefits coordination, compliance, CPE tracking, and governance records
- Coordinate IT needs, software implementations, cybersecurity compliance, and vendor relationships
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and boost firm-wide efficiency and client/employee experiences
Key requirements- 2+ years of progressive experience in office management, firm administration, or operations within a CPA or accounting firm
- Direct supervisory experience managing an administrative staff
- Strong familiarity with CPA firm dynamics and related cycles and deadlines
- Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to new software; Karbon experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills; discretion with confidential information
