Overview In this role you lead the development and maintenance of the resort's exterior grounds, seasonal decor, and floral displays, ensuring beauty and safety in a hospitality setting. You will drive sustainable landscape practices and coordinate with leadership and vendors to deliver high guest experience. You'll manage budgets, compliance, and records while supporting special events and urgent repairs. Your work supports the resort's brand standards and environmental goals, shaping outdoor spaces for guests and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities- Lead landscape maintenance, seasonal decor, and floral installations from design to execution, including safety and aesthetic checks
- Implement sustainable horticulture practices aligned with environmental and brand guidelines
- Manage budgets for landscape projects and groundskeeping, including procurement and inventory control
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, and resort standards; maintain maintenance schedules and project records
- Coordinate with leadership, vendors, and teams for project execution; communicate issues timely
- Support special events with horticulture and seasonal decor; respond to emergencies (e.g., storm damage)
- Perform other duties to ensure efficient department operations
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of horticulture/groundskeeping experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or senior-level experience
- Experience in hospitality settings preferred
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in exterior grounds maintenance
- Proficiency with task management systems and compliance documentation (e.g., HOTSOS)
- Ability to manage budgets, forecast costs, and justify expenditures
