Overview

As a Construction Project Manager, you will lead planning, execution, and delivery of healthcare facility projects. You'll act as the Owner's Representative, coordinating with clients, design teams, and contractors to meet project goals. The role emphasizes managing schedules, costs, and quality in hospital and medical office environments, with a focus on safety and compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects from pre-construction through closeout, delivering value to the owner. This position offers growth on a ground-floor opportunity in a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate pre-construction, bid, construction, and close-out phases
  • Act as Owner's Representative with client-facing duties
  • Review contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications for compliance
  • Monitor project progress and prepare status reports for management
  • Coordinate with public agencies and project staff for off-site work
  • Oversee contractor, subcontractor, and design team activities; manage RFCs and submittals
  • Evaluate and negotiate Change Orders and schedule impacts
  • Ensure QA/QC, safety, and adherence to contractual requirements
  • Manage project logistics, safety, and workforce utilization
  • Oversee project closeout, warranties, and guarantees
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of project management experience in healthcare construction preferred
  • Experience in occupied hospital spaces and with end users (physicians, staff, facilities) preferred
  • Knowledge of MEP design for healthcare and OSHPD (California) practices preferred
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
  • PMP or CM certification preferred
  • Infection and dust control experience in occupied spaces preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Primavera (P6) or Prolog scheduling tools preferred
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage, IT, and embedded hospital utilities required
