Overview In this role you will oversee system-wide financial, operational, and administrative activities for Medical Education, supporting departments such as Continuing Education and Graduate Medical Education. You will manage reimbursements, teaching payments, contracts, and cost reporting across multiple training sites, while liaising with finance, legal, and academic partners. You will build dashboards and reports to guide leadership decisions and ensure regulatory compliance. This position offers autonomy and impact within a large health system with cross-site collaboration.
Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end resident and faculty reimbursements and teaching payments, ensuring compliance and timely processing
- Submit and reconcile invoices for educational activities, subscriptions, services, and program costs
- Monitor GME financial policies, track expenditures, and prepare leadership-level financial summaries
- Coordinate rotation schedules with GME administration and audit cost reporting against schedules
- Develop system-level financial dashboards and standard reports across training sites
- Analyze trends in teaching effort, compensation, reimbursements, and invoicing to identify variances and improvement opportunities
- Prepare budget-to-actual analyses, forecasts, and executive summaries for ME leadership
- Track and reconcile data across systems (e.g., DynaFios, PeopleSoft, Icertis) ensuring data integrity
- Submit and manage faculty teaching agreements, affiliation agreements, and subscription contracts; coordinate renewals and maintain databases
- Provide training on reimbursement processes, payment workflows, reporting expectations, and financial policies
- Support accreditation reviews, internal audits, and external financial reviews with analytics and documentation
- Lead process improvement initiatives and collaborate with finance, IT, and ME stakeholders to improve automation and reduce manual work
Key requirements- Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, Health Administration, or Business Administration
- Master in MHA, MBA, MPH or equivalent preferred
- 5 years of progressive experience in operations, finance, healthcare finance, or GME administration with reimbursement processing, invoicing, and budgeting
- Experience with multi-site or system-level operations preferred (7 years)
- Experience with provider compensation or time-and-effort reporting systems (e.g., PeopleSoft)
- Strong knowledge of healthcare financial operations and budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and variance analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
