Overview In this role you will lead all People activities to align HR programs with Archer's mission of sustainable air mobility. You'll partner with the leadership team to deliver compliant, data-informed HR solutions that support a growing, in-office organization. You will drive employee experience, performance, and talent programs while maintaining confidentiality and integrity. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced startup-like environment where people and culture are central to success.
Responsibilities- Oversee all HR operations and regulatory compliance across local laws
- Provide visible HR presence to leaders and teams to enable real-time problem solving
- Analyze employee data to inform business decisions and improve engagement
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and partner with COEs to design programs (recruiting, performance, total rewards)
- Coordinate with People Operations on onboarding, background checks, employment changes, and leave management
- Manage benefits administration and payroll processing (where applicable)
- Offer guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and disciplinary matters
- Support talent management, training, and development initiatives
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all HR matters
- Support additional HR responsibilities as needed
Key requirements- 10+ years of HR experience
- In-depth knowledge of California HR laws and practices
- Strong confidentiality, independence, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive, adaptable attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and HR systems
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and related modules
- In-office role
- Experience in startup or aerospace/aviation is a bonus
