Overview As a Construction Project Manager, you lead day-to-day on EPC, construction, and program management projects from pre-construction through warranty. You work within a safety driven team to ensure quality, schedule, cost control, and contract administration. You coordinate with clients, suppliers, and field teams to deliver on plan while managing risk and ensuring compliance. This role offers impact across multi discipline projects and opportunities to shape execution strategies and client relations.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure successful project execution
- Develop and implement project plans including safety, quality, and subcontracting plans
- Manage client relationships and lead proposals, estimates, and contract negotiations
- Coordinate RFPs, bid processes, scope of work documents, and vendor selection
- Monitor budgeting, cash flow, cost control, and progress reporting to leadership
- Supervise staffing plans, training, and performance feedback for field teams
- Ensure permits, insurance, licensing, and bonding requirements are met
- Review and approve reports, change management, RFIs, submittals, and documentation turnover
- Support commissioning, startup, and project closeout, including warranty administration
- Mentor interns and junior staff; manage labor and craft classifications; ensure training standards
- Ensure compliance with safety programs and health performance; conduct audits and risk reviews
- Oversee invoicing, subcontractor performance, and contract administration
- Coordinate with engineering for deliverables and ensure alignment with project schedule
- Manage project turnover documentation and records retention
Key requirements- Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering or related field
- 7 years of relevant project management experience in construction (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software (preferred)
- Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to handle high workloads in fast-paced environments
- Experience on projects in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, or water industries (preferred)
- Basic understanding of GAAP
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 25%
