Overview In this role you will advise SpaceXAI on sanctions and export controls, shaping scalable trade compliance for frontier AI services. You will partner with the Legal team and business units to reduce risk while enabling AI and datacenter initiatives. You will coordinate with US government agencies, lead investigations, and drive policy improvements. Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance on OFAC sanctions and BIS export controls
- Manage trade compliance documentation and due diligence, including policies, training, dashboards, and metrics
- Streamline policies and processes to scale AI services and datacenter projects
- Advise on sanctions/export control terms in commercial contracts for AI services and procurement
- Coordinate with U.S. government agencies on export/sanctions matters
- Investigate non-compliance, prepare internal reports, and oversee corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze legal risks and develop trusted advisor relationships
Key requirements- ABA-accredited law degree (JD)
- 5+ years of trade compliance experience (sanctions and export controls)
- Bar admission in at least one U.S. state
