Overview

In this role you support electrical construction projects from bid to completion, shaping budgets, proposals, and scopes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with standards and budgets while presenting clear project content to customers. You'll drive schedules, cost forecasting, and change-order management to deliver value and efficiency. Responsibilities
  • Develop budgets and cost codes for projects and assist in technical proposals (scope of work, management plans, safety, quality control)
  • Gather data to prepare bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals
  • Develop and present detailed project scopes to customers and engage potential clients
  • Run day-to-day project or sub-project operations
  • Create project schedules using CPM and allocate cost/manpower for cash and manpower forecasting
  • Interpret plans/specs to determine materials/equipment and ensure compliance
  • Perform take-offs from drawings and price change orders
  • Maintain current price data from suppliers/contractors; identify value-added and cost-saving opportunities
  • Establish labor and productivity rates; price and manage change orders
  • Coordinate documents and logs (coordination, detailing, schedule, criteria compliance) and assist in field inspections/productivity tracking
Key requirements
  • 3+ years experience with a Master's degree
  • 5+ years experience with a B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management
  • 8+ years experience with an associated degree
  • 10+ years experience with a High School diploma or GED
  • Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD; experience with estimating, project management, and scheduling software
  • Experience reading/interpreting blueprints; knowledge of codes and safety standards
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment, materials, specifications, and contract documents
  • Experience or exposure to technical writing; strong planning and organization skills
  • 2+ years in the communications field with added electrical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of design techniques for electrical plans, blueprints, and drawings
  • Understanding of change orders and contract documents
