Overview In this role, you will manage and optimize storage infrastructure to support national security programs. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable data backups, capacity planning, and SAN performance, aligning with security policies. You'll implement automation for monitoring, reporting, and patching, while ensuring data recovery and compliant operation. This position offers hands-on impact on enterprise storage solutions within a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities- Provide technical oversight of storage systems with a focus on SAN administration
- Ensure system security and patching compliance per customer policy
- Monitor storage utilization, performance metrics, and service levels
- Maintain reliable backup and recovery processes
- Develop automated environments for reporting, events, and software updates
- Plan capacity and allocate storage, configure fiber channel switches, and manage SAN capacity
- Coordinate activities, status updates, outages, and schedules
- Maintain SAN cabling plans and document system configurations
- Interface with users and maintain system documentation
- Travel may be required within the NCR as needed
Key requirements- Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass Poly
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (Master's with 6 years or PhD with 3 years acceptable; 4 years in lieu of degree)
- Knowledge of backup software technologies
- Knowledge of storage hardware technologies
- Knowledge of SAN fabric technologies
- Ability to interface with users
- Strong coordination and communication of activities and outages
- Troubleshooting of network communications
- Backup software technologies: TSM, NetBackup, Actifo
- Storage hardware technologies: HP storage, Actifo Appliance, Hitachi
- SAN fabric technologies: Brocade
