Overview In this role you lead on-site construction coordination across multiple projects, guiding crews and interfacing with stakeholders to keep the schedule, safety, and quality on track. You'll partner with Project Managers to manage budgets, resources, and logistics while solving problems proactively. Responsibilities- Manage construction activities and task assignments
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and inspections to support schedules
- Assist Project Managers with budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
- Create and update project schedules and look-ahead plans
- Coordinate plans with engineers and resolve discrepancies
- Develop site utilization plans and determine crew sizes
- Select formwork systems and equipment
- Lead pre-construction planning sessions and site meetings
- Supervise work crews and coach field personnel
- Foster teamwork and provide performance feedback
- Identify hiring needs and contribute to hiring decisions
- Develop leadership potential through task assignments and career growth
- Implement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at sites
- Manage open shop and union issues
- Maintain relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and visitors
- Suggest site work and logistics improvements
- Additional duties as assigned
Key requirements- 15+ years construction experience
- Minimum 10 years in a supervisory role
- Experience with solar or large industrial power projects
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Professional attitude and customer service skills
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Current driver's license
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
