Overview In this role you will serve as the primary liaison for the School of Medicine within the Office of the Registrar, driving registration and academic services. You will act as the subject matter expert on policies, procedures, and records management, ensuring compliance and timely support for stakeholders. You will lead process improvements and manage projects across schools and programs, shaping Registrar's Office practices. You will collaborate with deans, department leadership, and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate data, timely communications, and smooth operations during peak periods.
Responsibilities- Serve as primary liaison for academic services and registration-related matters to deans, department leadership, committees, and stakeholders
- Act as subject matter expert on academic policies, procedures, registration, grading, and records management; ensure compliance
- Coordinate administrative operations for expanded academic programs and respond to stakeholder needs
- Oversee elective registration processes including lottery, add/drop, away rotations, and manual enrollment; back up during peak periods
- Prepare reports, presentations, and training materials for the Director; support data analysis and reporting requests
- Lead process improvement initiatives and develop solutions across schools and programs
- Manage Registrar's Office projects, timelines, and deliverables with stakeholders
- Lead, train, and delegate to the electives team for BCM and visiting electives, and evolving curriculum processes
- Develop and oversee communications to students, faculty, and staff regarding Registrar's processes and deadlines
- Oversee elective communications and registration notifications for BCM and visiting students
- Maintain student records processes, curriculum updates, and data in the SIS; monitor degree audit processes
- Provide backup for grades and evaluations during high-volume periods
- Update the electives web catalog and assist with registration setup
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with relevant experience
- Experience in registrar functions, academic policies, or higher education administration
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and data integrity skills
