Overview In this Construction Manager role, you will lead and support the CEI/construction management practice within STV's Transportation division in the Virginia Beach area. You'll oversee highway, bridge, and related projects while growing our CEI services statewide and mentoring staff. The position blends project leadership, client relationship management, and business development to expand STV's in-house capabilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, high-quality transportation projects for public clients. This is an opportunity to influence project delivery at scale within a Top 50 ENR firm.

Responsibilities- Perform construction management activities on roadway/highway and bridge projects
- Assist with CEI practice business development
- Support recruitment and onboarding of construction managers, engineers, and inspectors
- Provide training and mentorship to CEI staff
- Serve as Project Manager on select projects as needed
- Provide quality oversight of CEI staff on project activities and deliverables
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
- Contribute to proposals and qualification packages
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Communicate effectively with project staff and clients (verbal and written)
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field
- Virginia Professional Engineer License, CCM, or CACM preferred
- 10 years of highway construction or design experience (considered with more/less education)
- Experience with VDOT and Virginia municipalities
- Strong technical report writing and client communication
- Ability to lead construction teams on transportation projects
