Overview

In this role you will oversee daily trade partner activities and ensure construction progress aligns with schedules and quality standards. You will manage the customer experience throughout the build, coordinate with multiple teams, and enforce safety and code compliance. The position sits at the core of a large, customer-focused homebuilder known for growth and a Strong safety culture. You will influence project outcomes and contribute to timely, high-quality home delivery at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee scheduling and supervision of daily trade partner activities and assess quality and efficiency
  • Review and modify construction drawings when plan errors arise
  • Evaluate project schedules and adjust resources to meet timely completion
  • Ensure homes are completed on schedule and contract obligations and safety protocols are met
  • Stop work that is unsatisfactory or noncompliant with plans
  • Manage customer experience through construction, maintaining progress communications and negotiations
  • Coordinate with Community Sales to manage performance and customer activities
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and enforce safety and storm water plans
  • Negotiate, create, and authorize field purchase orders for materials and labor
  • Inspect trade partner workmanship and authorize payments when standards are met
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Process Improvement, Resource Planning, and Purchasing on improvements
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and company workmanship standards
  • Participate in trade partner recruiting and vetting
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Construction management in a high-production environment
  • Ability to direct and manage trade performance
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of municipal permitting and regulations
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Knowledge of construction-related scheduling software
  • Basic computer literacy
