Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Pay Range:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Salary: $17.75 - $22.20 DOE ($2/hr. NOC Shift Differential for overnight schedule)

Make a Difference During Critical Moments

The Link Access Center (LAC) provides a safe, supportive environment for adults experiencing mental health, substance use, and behavioral health challenges. As an LAC Specialist, you will play an important role in helping individuals stabilize, connect with resources, and take meaningful steps toward recovery and ongoing support.

This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and motivated by helping people through challenging circumstances. Every shift offers an opportunity to provide support, promote safety, and contribute to positive outcomes for vulnerable community members.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you will:

  • Help individuals successfully navigate admission, stabilization, and discharge processes within the sobering and hold programs.
  • Support clients in accessing follow-up mental health, substance use treatment, housing, medical, and community-based services.
  • Monitor client well-being, document observations, and provide interventions consistent with individual service plans.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and recovery-oriented environment for clients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, behavioral health professionals, community partners, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and practical supports, including coordination of services and community resources.
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral health situations and help maintain the safety and security of the facility.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture focused on dignity, respect, accountability, and client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete admissions, discharges, and related documentation.
  • Provide discharge planning and coordinate referrals to appropriate services and supports.
  • Monitor and document client status, behaviors, and outcomes.
  • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary care discussions.
  • Deliver therapeutic and skills-based interventions as directed by the individual's service plan.
  • Administer medications and perform basic nursing-related tasks when trained, authorized, and delegated in accordance with state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate client records within required timeframes.
  • Support facility operations, resident needs, environmental safety, and daily program activities.
  • Communicate client concerns, facility needs, and operational issues to leadership.
  • Attend team meetings and actively contribute to program quality and client success.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the role and level of training.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet Oregon requirements for designation as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) through one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field; or
  • A combination of at least three years of relevant education, training, work experience, or related qualifications.

Successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of behavioral health services, recovery-oriented care, and effective communication with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with adults experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, or other behavioral health needs.
  • Experience in residential treatment, crisis services, sobering programs, community-based services, or related healthcare settings.

Certifications & Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain MHACBO QMHA certification.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Driving is required as part of this position to support program operations, community-based services, and client-related activities. This position does not perform secure transportation duties.

This role is primarily based within a residential and community behavioral health setting. Team members regularly interact with individuals in crisis and those working toward stabilization and recovery.
