Overview In this role you will take hands-on ownership of underwriting, diligence and financial analysis across asset-based and corporate lending transactions. You will underwrite and assess risk with the PM, set up covenant packages, monitor KPIs, and participate in portfolio management. You'll analyze new prospects, evaluate collateral across industries, and prepare internal documentation for opportunities and approvals. You'll collaborate with risk management and external professionals to close deals, thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial credit environment where accountability is high.
Responsibilities- Underwrite, risk assess and analyze asset-based finance, asset-based lending and corporate lending transactions
- Set up covenant packages, risk ratings, and monitor KPIs; participate in ongoing portfolio management
- Analyze new prospects for credit quality including financials and projections
- Evaluate collateral from a broad spectrum of industries for asset-oriented facilities
- Prepare internal documentation for opportunities, including pre-screens and final approval materials
- Collaborate with risk management on approvals; present borrower and structure to risk committee
- Coordinate with external parties (appraisers, field examiners) to diligence, document and close transactions
- Manage multiple workflows with high accountability in a fast-paced environment
Key requirements- 5+ years direct experience in credit, underwriting, and structuring asset-based and corporate lending transactions
- Familiarity with asset-based finance and asset-based lending across broad industries; understanding sector risks
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet and off-balance sheet structures
- Knowledge of legal documentation (commitment papers, term sheets, credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, etc.)
