Overview

As Team Lead, you drive the success of a portfolio of construction projects by guiding a PM team, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery excellence. You provide strategic oversight, manage key client relationships, and align projects with financial and schedule targets. You'll lead continuous improvements in controls, reporting, and KPIs while escalating delivery issues and enabling growth opportunities within the portfolio. This role blends leadership with hands-on project governance to shape reliable, high-impact project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers across multiple construction projects
  • Maintain client relationships and manage executive-level project reviews
  • Oversee project execution to meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting; monitor forecasts and cost reports
  • Manage project schedules, critical path, and forecasted completion; lead recovery where needed
  • Develop and monitor KPI targets; drive improvements based on results
  • Identify and mitigate portfolio risks; ensure governance and compliance measures
  • Support risk, change management, and lessons-learned initiatives
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management (or related field)
  • 10+ years of construction management or PM experience
  • 5+ years leading PM teams and large-scale programs
  • Experience managing multiple PMs and complex portfolios
  • Proven track record in financial management, schedules, and client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting
  • Proficiency with construction management software, PM systems, and reporting tools
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or DBIA preferred
