Overview Senior Counsel, Supply and Trading supports PBF's commercial services and energy trading activities. You will advise on legal risks, structures for energy transactions, and regulatory/compliance matters, while coordinating with traders and cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes effective, high-quality legal support linked to business needs, including managing outside counsel. You will represent the company to customers, suppliers and regulators, onsite in Parsippany, NJ.

Responsibilities- Structure, draft and negotiate energy-related transactions (physical and financial) including product purchases/sales, master trading agreements (ISDA, LEAPs, NAESBs), credit arrangements, transport and storage agreements, environmental credit and NDA agreements
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters including FERC, State Public Utility Commissions, CARB and pipeline/cap-and-trade issues
- Manage outside counsel cost-effectively across transactional, litigation or compliance matters
- Develop strong rapport with business teams to deliver high-quality legal services aligned with business needs
- Represent the company to customers, suppliers, competitors and governmental agencies

Key requirements- J.D. degree
- Licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction and able to register as Authorized In-House Counsel in Parsippany, NJ
- Minimum 10+ years of corporate/commercial legal experience, preferably with both multinational law firm and corporate law department
- Inquisitive mindset with interest in energy and regulatory law
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multitask and demonstrate urgency
- Working familiarity with energy regulatory regimes (FERC, PJM, State PUCs, EPA, CFTC, Dodd-Frank) and basic UCC/bankruptcy knowledge
