Senior Real World Evidence Expert (United States)

Overview

In this role you will design and deliver global real-world evidence studies to generate actionable insights across the product lifecycle. You will shape evidence strategies that support R&D, regulatory, payer, and clinical practice needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to close evidence gaps. You'll advance RWE data capabilities and methodologies to address complex healthcare challenges and support patient-centered decision making. The position offers global exposure, a strong scientific focus, and opportunities to influence strategic decisions through high-quality evidence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design, execution, and delivery of complex global RWE studies within time and budget
  • Develop study concepts, protocols, and analysis plans to meet objectives
  • Drive epidemiology, natural history, disease burden, comparative effectiveness, safety, and post-launch evidence initiatives
  • Lead secondary data studies and participate in primary data collection study teams
  • Collaborate with external vendors, academia, and medical experts for high-quality execution
  • Interpret and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support asset-level RWE strategies and evidence plans
  • Identify and implement innovative study designs and new real-world data sources
  • Contribute to scientific publications, abstracts, posters, and presentations
  • Act as a trusted SME providing strategic guidance and robust methodologies
Key requirements
  • Master's degree, PhD, MD, or equivalent in epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics, biostatistics, life sciences, or related field
  • Significant experience designing and delivering real-world evidence studies using primary and/or secondary data
  • Strong expertise in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, outcomes research, health economics, biostatistics, data science, or related quantitative disciplines
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consulting, or academic research environments
  • Excellent communication skills translating complex evidence into actionable insights
  • Passion for innovation and the use of emerging technologies including AI-enabled approaches in RWE
