Overview In this role you will provide owner-side field oversight on a large-scale, data center-related construction project through 2029. You will stay actively on site, verify progress, identify constraints, and coordinate with the owner, general contractor, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams. You'll foreground safety, quality, and schedule, driving field execution and timely turnover to operations. This is a long-term, hands-on leadership role that shapes field delivery and project outcomes.

Responsibilities- Observe daily construction activities for conformance with contract documents and design intent
- Assess progress and validate reported completion on a daily/weekly basis
- Identify field constraints, access issues, rework, coordination conflicts, and potential schedule impacts
- Coordinate activities among owner, general contractor, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party partners
- Track near-term schedules, look-ahead activities, critical work, constraints, and recovery actions
- Review and track RFIs, submittals, inspections, procurement items, and decisions affecting field execution
- Support surveying, layout verification, and documentation of field conditions
- Coordinate site access, logistics, deliveries, temporary conditions, and active work areas
- Participate in field coordination meetings, schedule reviews, site walks, and punch-list inspections
- Support MOPs, shutdowns, notifications, energization, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities
- Prepare field reports, meeting notes, action-item logs, and progress updates
- Assist with punch-list completion, inspections, correction verification, and turnover to operations
- Monitor safety and quality on site and escalate concerns through project channels
Key requirements- Significant onsite construction experience in roles such as Field Engineer, Field Manager, Construction Manager, Project Engineer, Superintendent, or similar
- Data center or mission-critical construction experience required
- Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field documentation
- Experience with surveying, layout, or verification of installed work
- Ability to evaluate field progress and communicate potential cost, schedule, or quality impacts
- Experience coordinating general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and commissioning personnel
- Familiarity with look-ahead schedules, punch lists, commissioning, startup, turnover, and closeout
- Strong written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain a consistent onsite presence in a fast-paced environment
