Overview As a trusted associate in our Private Client Services Group, you will support sophisticated estate and tax planning for individuals and families, including trusts, family offices, and complex transfers. You will collaborate with cross-office teams to administer trusts and estates and address transfer tax issues while handling tax controversy matters with the IRS. The role blends advisory and transactional work in a national, client-focused practice. Responsibilities- Execute and manage trust and estate planning and administration transactions
- Administer trusts, decant and modify trusts as needed
- Administer complex estates and coordinate with clients on business interests, art, and unusual assets
- Analyze transfer tax issues and develop tax-efficient strategies
- Handle tax controversy matters before the IRS
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices to service clients
Key requirements- Five+ years of relevant transactional experience in trust and estate planning and administration
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- LL.M. in tax preferred but not required
