Overview In this role you will partner with Design and Production to uphold fit, construction, and quality across children's apparel. You will develop spec packages, evaluate samples, and lead fit sessions to ensure brand consistency. You'll communicate technical details to vendors and support safety compliance throughout development. The position leverages 3D tools to streamline design and production, offering meaningful impact on product quality and timelines. This is a hands-on role in a NYC-based wholesale environment with cross-functional collaboration and problem solving at the core.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain fit and construction standards to ensure brand quality
- Create style-specific spec packages with correct grade rules and non-standard details
- Measure and evaluate development and proto samples for spec, quality, and workmanship
- Lead fit sessions with Design and Production teams
- Communicate measurement, construction, and workmanship feedback to vendors with explanations and diagrams
- Coordinate with Production and Compliance to ensure safety requirements are met
- Address inquiries via email regarding fit, specs, pattern, and construction
Key requirements- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, children's wear
- Experience with Browzwear 3D software or equivalent
- Knowledge of measuring sample points and tolerances
- Strong understanding of knit and woven garment construction
- Knowledge of patternmaking, sewing terminology, and garment construction
- Understanding of garment manufacturing and product development process
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Word; Illustrator knowledge is a plus
- Willingness to work in the office 5 days/week
