Business Development Senior Specialist, Real Estate, Projects, and Energy, North America Transactional Practice

Overview

In this role you will help implement the North America Transactional Practice business development strategy to retain clients, grow opportunities, and strengthen market positioning in real estate, energy, and projects. You will collaborate with partners and BD teams across sub-practices to support pitches, proposals, RFPs, client research, and events. You'll shape best practices for recurring BD activities and help raise the profile of the Practice Group through marketing collateral and targeted outreach. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position with a strong focus on impact, collaboration, and scalable processes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with proposals, pitches, RFPs, and client-facing materials including credentials and matter information
  • Ensure quality and consistency of final work product per Firm standards
  • Collect and organize deal experience and matter information; maintain deal collection guidelines
  • Identify new business opportunities and cross-sell with other groups
  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral and online content (capability statements, biographies, rankings)
  • Coordinate with teams on events (virtual and in-person) and sponsorships
  • Conduct client and company research to support targeting and relationship management
  • Coordinate directories submissions and manage content for external publications
  • Support outreach with content for social media, alerts, newsletters, and profile-raising initiatives
  • Maintain mailing lists, calendars, intranet content, and matter uploads
  • Support budget planning and monitor BD expenditures
  • Perform other duties to advance regional strategy
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • Strong BD, marketing, or related experience; preferably in legal or professional services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships across levels
  • Highly organized with strong project management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong tech skills with Outlook, Teams, Copilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat or similar tools
  • Familiarity with internet research and web-based platforms
  • Discretion and diplomacy; ability to handle confidential information
