Overview As a Senior Contributor on the Architecture team, you will work independently to guide clients through planning and delivering fiscally responsible, award-winning designs. You bring strong knowledge of construction documents, codes, and estimates, and you'll pioneer sustainable prototypes with a green design sensibility. You'll lead integrated design proposals, maintain BIM updates, and produce diverse drawings while mentoring teammates and coordinating with the Project Leader. This role offers impact through design excellence, cross-office collaboration, and portfolio development that showcases your work and the firm's mission.
Responsibilities- Advocate design excellence and creativity internally and externally
- Support business development through proposals, interviews, and events
- Assist in recruiting design staff across levels
- Foster cross-office collaboration and provide design vision
- Mentor and coach design staff to grow professionally
- Evaluate design quality to uphold high standards
- Develop and implement the firm's brand and marketing collateral
- Participate in performance reviews and goal setting
- Oversee design award submissions and related processes
- Engage staff in design dialogue and ensure process adherence; promote technological tools
- Convey the firm's design philosophy using appropriate vocabulary
- Identify media opportunities (photography, descriptions) to support the portfolio
- Serve as ambassador of the firm's portfolio and educate others
Key requirements- Degree in Architecture and Registered Architect (RA/AIA/NCARB)
- Minimum 15 years of architecture experience with at least 10 in federal/DOD sector
- Project management experience
- LEED certification preferred
- Ability to obtain IAW NISPOM security clearance
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction systems, detailing, materials, and standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with MS Project, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Sefaira, NewForm, ACC Environment
