Overview In this role you will join a leading international law firm's Insurance Coverage Practice Group, handling high-value coverage disputes for domestic and international insurers. You will analyze complex policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide clear recommendations while supporting litigation from depositions to trials. You'll work within a collaborative team to advance case objectives and mentor junior attorneys. This position offers exposure to cross-border clients, sophisticated policy issues, and meaningful responsibility in a high-performing environment.
Compensation / Benefits- base salary $200,000-$235,000

Responsibilities- Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions
- Provide clear, actionable coverage recommendations for clients
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other tools
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses
- Review and analyze document collections for litigation readiness
- Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers
- Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives
Key requirements- 6+ years of substantive litigation experience focused on insurance coverage
- ABA-accredited law school JD with excellent academics; Law Review/Honors
- Active California bar in good standing; additional state admissions assets
- Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and providing coverage recommendations
- Strong drafting, research, and litigation proceedings experience
- Familiarity with bad faith, CGL, property, E&O, and D&O claims
- Ability to work independently and with a team
