Overview As Messaging Administrator Contractor, you will support enterprise messaging platforms to ensure stability, reliability, and high performance. You will work with the Messaging Production Support Team, focusing on IBM MQ while contributing to Kafka and TIBCO platforms. You'll tackle complex issues across Linux and Windows environments in a 24/7 on-call context. This role offers hands-on operational impact, shaping the resilience of critical messaging workflows within a large enterprise. You will collaborate cross-functionally to maintain uptime and support ongoing improvements.
Responsibilities- Provide operational support for IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka, IIB, TIBCO RV, and TIBCO EMS
- Ensure stability, reliability and high performance of messaging environments
- Participate in the Messaging Production Support Team and on-call rotation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across distributed systems in production
- Respond to incidents and coordinate with Linux/Windows teams for resolution
- Monitor performance and contribute to tuning efforts for messaging platforms
- Assist with automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency
Key requirements- Hands-on IBM MQ administration (primary required skill)
- Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Confluent Kafka, TIBCO Rendezvous RV, TIBCO EMS
- Strong troubleshooting across distributed systems
- Experience supporting production environments in a 24x7 on-call rotation
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows in enterprise settings
