Overview

As Program Manager for a major Grand Rapids project, you will oversee program activities within a larger program, providing technical leadership and strategic direction. You will champion ethical and safe practices, drive innovative program management approaches, and identify high-risk areas to positively influence outcomes. You'll contribute to global learning and talent development, assess long-term trends, and plan workforce needs while ensuring financial success of the program. You travel to project sites and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee program-related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery
  • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices
  • Support innovation in program management approaches and methodology
  • Identify high-risk areas and take actions to positively impact outcomes
  • Contribute to global learning and people development strategy for program management
  • Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise; propose skill development and workforce planning
  • Support attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise
  • Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of the Program Management agreement
Key requirements
  • BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, program management and/or construction management (preferred)
  • Experience with large, advanced manufacturing, technology and/or corporate sector clients
  • Ability to travel to project sites in Northeast Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southwest Michigan
