Overview

Viant's Upland facility seeks an HR Manager to lead all human resources functions for a high-precision manufacturing site. You will partner with cross-functional teams to recruit, develop, and retain talent while ensuring policy alignment and compliance. You will drive continuous improvement of associate experience through training, succession planning, and HR analytics. This role offers meaningful impact shaping workforce strategies in a fast-paced medical device environment. Responsibilities
  • Recruits, screens, and conducts reference checks for applicants
  • Prepares and updates job descriptions; conducts wage/benefit survey analyses; compiles HR reporting
  • Conducts new hire and termination interviews; supports employee relations and counseling
  • Responds to policy inquiries; processes background checks and drug tests; maintains new hire folders
  • Manages HRIS data entry and workforce changes; maintains I-9 compliance
  • Coordinates on-site training programs and events; develops training and employee development
  • Leads Succession Planning and Individual Development Plans; manages training records
  • Responds to unemployment notices, wage claims, and employment verifications
  • Maintains active/terminated/temporary employee records; ensures internal controls
  • Ensures compliance with federal/state employment laws and regulations
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Industrial Relations, Business, or Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of HR leadership experience
  • Manufacturing experience highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of employment, wage, benefit, and personnel record laws
  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Problem-solving skills for rapid, unforeseen issues
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
