Overview

As Development Manager, you will lead our fundraising strategy and annual events to advance SIHB's mission. You will work with the Public Affairs Director and Development team to cultivate donor relationships, coordinate community outreach, and drive content and social media efforts. You will manage logistics, timelines, and budgets to maximize impact across private, public, and corporate philanthropy. This role offers meaningful opportunities to engage relatives and partners in supporting high quality, culturally-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Foster and manage donor relationships and timely donor appreciation
  • Identify prospects across private, public, and corporate philanthropy
  • Coordinate fundraising goals, logistics, communications, and solicitations for Give Big and Giving Tuesday
  • Process and track donations/pledges in Excel
  • Collaborate with Communications to execute social media strategies for events
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Maintain development workflows and respond to requests promptly
  • Collaborate with external grant writers and plan annual fundraising events
  • Oversee planning and implementation of fundraising events
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Three-five years of fundraising/development experience
  • Proven ability to connect with and align people, organizations, and community partners
  • Experience with fundraising platforms preferred (Every Action or similar)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and digital writing skills
  • Every Action or similar fundraising platform
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Social media coordination for events
