Responsibilities- Lead estimating and management of change orders across the project lifecycle
- Develop and review detailed cost plans at key milestones and present findings
- Collaborate with design teams and general contractors to refine cost estimates
- Coordinate cost inputs from subcontractors and suppliers for commercial decisions
- Produce cost commentary and executive summaries highlighting risks and variances
- Track cost impacts, contingency usage, and change control across multiple workstreams
- Perform cost checks and valuations for timely financial reporting
- Support procurement by evaluating bids and negotiating terms
- Contribute to value engineering and design optimization
- Produce monthly cost reports with budgets, forecasts, and funding analyses
- Mentor junior team members and support consistency in service delivery
- Manage financial performance including fee forecasting and margin tracking
- Adhere to SOX controls where applicable
- Maintain benchmarking data for future project planning
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years' experience in cost management or quantity surveying for commercial real estate projects (TI, interiors, or ground-up)
- RICS accreditation preferred or in progress
- Experience with medium to large-scale commercial construction projects
- Prior QS consultancy experience preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, procurement, value engineering, and cost planning
