Overview You lead on-site construction for utility-scale solar or battery projects nationwide, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-schedule delivery. You coordinate across civil, mechanical, electrical, piles, and logistics, guiding multiple workstreams and teams. You'll travel up to 100% and spend months on project sites, shaping project outcomes through strong leadership and proactive problem solving. This role offers impact across projects and clients within a large, safety-focused renewables firm.

Responsibilities- Direct overall project direction, coordination, and evaluation with the PM
- Oversee construction workers, supervisors, and multiple trades on site
- Coordinate managers, foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors across disciplines
- Manage labor requirements, budgets, and production schedules to meet project goals
- Monitor site progress and regulatory compliance; supervise discipline and performance
- Facilitate change orders with APM/PM and manage cost forecasting
- Hire, train, and evaluate direct reports; enforce discipline and safety on site
- Collaborate with client site management to meet expectations and ensure quality delivery
- Promote apprenticeships, mentor trainees, and ensure PWA compliance when applicable
- Maintain thorough project documentation and timely reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Seven years of construction industry experience
- Experience supervising multiple trades on large projects ($80M-100M+ revenue)
- Self-perform construction experience with large field teams (200+ staff)
- Ability to forecast costs and control project budget
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel) and on-site coordination tools
- Understanding of scheduling, blueprint reading, safety rules, and regulatory compliance
