Overview In this role you drive translational informatics across neuroscience research and clinical care, leading a cross-functional team to leverage EHR and multimodal data. You shape the IMAGINe Lab's informatics agenda, advancing brain health through NLP, LLMs, and computable phenotyping. You mentor researchers, manage projects, and ensure ethical, compliant execution. This is a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on impactful scientific discovery and patient care improvements.

Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of scientists and staff across research projects
- Manage project portfolio, budget, and schedule
- Develop and implement new research/innovation projects in brain informatics
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and methods for scientific investigation
- Prepare data and assist with grant and manuscript writing
- Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation for research activities
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across lab and UT Southwestern community
- Represent the lab in conferences and external collaborations
Key requirements- PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline
- 8 years of post-graduate, job-specific experience
- Expertise in biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, computational biology, or related fields
