Overview In this role you lead hands-on environmental testing for Terran R avionics, guiding vibration, shock, and thermal assessments to ensure flight-readiness. You work closely with test, avionics, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot, document, and optimize test workflows under tight schedules. You contribute to test readiness, fixture setup, and data-driven analysis that informs hardware disposition. Responsibilities- Lead hands-on environmental testing execution (vibration, shock, thermal) for avionics hardware
- Perform qualification and acceptance test procedures with minimal supervision
- Set up, instrument, operate, troubleshoot, and teardown test configurations
- Configure data acquisition, accelerometers, thermocouples, and related instrumentation
- Interpret drawings, procedures, schematics, and hardware handling rules for tests
- Serve as a technical resource in the environmental test lab and support hardware integration
- Collaborate with test, avionics, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve workflows
- Export and communicate test data for post-test analysis and hardware disposition
- Support rapid development cycles while maintaining safety, workmanship, and documentation standards
Key requirements- 5+ years in environmental testing within aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-reliability environments
- Hands-on ATP and environmental test procedures execution with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of vibration, shock, and/or thermal testing, including setup and handling
- Experience configuring and operating environmental test equipment and instrumentation
- Ability to interpret test procedures, drawings, schematics, and hardware requirements
- Experience exporting and communicating test data for review
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and root cause investigation capabilities
