Overview McCarthy Building Companies seeks a strategic Corporate Counsel to support its Southern Region from Texas. In this role, you will partner with operations and leadership to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal guidance across construction, litigation, labor, and regulatory matters. You will help shape risk management and project execution strategies as a key advisor within a highly integrated legal team. Based in Dallas, Houston, or Austin, you will report to the Vice President, Legal and contribute to high-profile construction initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide legal guidance across construction, litigation, labor, and regulatory matters to the Southern Region
- Manage disputes, litigation, and insurance-related matters
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to support project execution and risk management
- Support contract design and construction agreements and related negotiations
- Advise on regulatory compliance and risk-mitigating strategies
Key requirements- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction law
- Familiarity with design and construction agreements
- Experience handling disputes, litigation management, and insurance matters
- In-house experience preferred
- Bar admission in at least one state, preferably Texas
