QA/QC Specialist - Data Centers

Overview

In this role you will lead architectural QA/QC for data center projects, shaping design quality and delivery. You will partner with cross functional teams to ensure designs meet client standards, codes, and Arcadis procedures. You will mentor teams, drive continuous improvement, and conduct site reviews to verify design intent and construction conformance. This role offers impact across mission critical facilities and a chance to influence quality standards at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural QA/QC reviews across all design phases for mission critical/data center projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, BIM models, and documentation for accuracy and coordination
  • Ensure deliverables align with client standards, Arcadis procedures, and industry best practices
  • Verify compliance with building codes, life safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with architecture, structural, MEP, civil, and commissioning teams to resolve design coordination issues
  • Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, workshops, and project quality audits
  • Support teams in identifying design risks and implementing quality improvements
  • Develop, maintain, and improve QA/QC standards, checklists, templates, and processes
  • Provide mentorship and training on QA/QC to architects and project teams
  • Perform construction-phase quality reviews and site visits to verify conformance and support RFIs/submittals/field conditions
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of architectural experience including data center or mission critical facilities
  • Licensed Architect (RA, NCARB, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety, accessibility standards
  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM coordination, and construction documentation development
  • Experience in technical design reviews and multidisciplinary project coordination
  • Data center/mission critical project experience
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
