Overview As a ServiceNow CMDB Architect you will define and govern our CMDB strategy, focusing on accurate data and governance. You will lead Discovery and Service Mapping implementations to automate population and dependency mapping, aligning CMDB with CSDM and IT enterprise strategy. You'll establish governance policies, data ownership, and lifecycle management to drive operational excellence. This role offers high impact by shaping data quality and service visibility across IT teams, with a hands-on emphasis on architecture and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Architect and maintain the CMDB aligned with CSDM and IT strategy
- Design and implement ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for automated data population and dependency mapping
- Develop and enforce CMDB governance policies, procedures, and best practices
- Define CI classes, attributes, and relationships to accurately model IT services and infrastructure
- Collaborate with ITSM, ITOM, and other teams to integrate CMDB data into IT processes
- Improve CMDB health, data accuracy, and completeness through audits and remediation
- Provide guidance on CMDB and Discovery capabilities and promote data integrity culture
Key requirements- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including Discovery and CMDB
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via APIs and MID Servers
- Knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, and IT governance frameworks
- Proficiency in ServiceNow administration, configuration, and scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript)
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
