Overview

In this role you partner with leaders to shape culture, leadership excellence, and talent strategies across Horizon Farm Credit. You drive performance management and succession planning while aligning people initiatives with business priorities. You act as an internal consultant and change agent, supporting cross-functional teams and collaborating with Learning & Development to meet capability needs. You will shape inclusive leadership and organizational effectiveness to sustain long-term success. This is a strategic, impact-focused opportunity in a mission-driven rural lender.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement OD initiatives to support culture transformation and strategic alignment
  • Develop and manage enterprise-wide performance management programs
  • Create and facilitate succession planning frameworks and leadership pipelines
  • Analyze engagement, stay interviews, performance trends, and exit data to inform solutions
  • Facilitate strategic planning, team effectiveness, and leadership alignment sessions
  • Collaborate with HR, Communications, and Learning & Development to integrate people strategies
  • Coach leaders on organizational effectiveness, change management, and feedback practices
  • Develop tools to promote psychological safety, inclusive leadership, and team accountability
  • Leverage data to advise leadership on strategic decisions
Key requirements
  • Minimum eight years of progressive OD, performance management, or talent strategy experience
  • Experience designing enterprise-level performance and succession planning processes
  • Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage leaders at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills for qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ability to influence without authority and build cross-functional trust
