Overview In this role you drive actuarial research and analyses to support pricing, reserving, and risk management. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop assumptions, GAAP/IFRS items, and valuation approaches. You will prepare actuarial components of financial reports and communicate results to management. The position combines modeling, documentation, and project leadership in a collaborative, inclusive environment. Responsibilities- Develop actuarial assumptions for pricing, reserving, and modeling, including experience studies
- Coordinate and perform actuarial analyses to support pricing strategies and risk management
- Maintain profit studies, non-forfeiture values, and GAAP/IFRS actuarial items and related files
- Prepare actuarial portions of financial reports and regulatory filings
- Document and communicate research results to business stakeholders
- Develop and maintain computer-based programs and model validation procedures
- Supervise actuarial staff or interns as needed
- Coordinate special actuarial projects and provide guidance to team
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field and 5 years of relevant experience
- Alternatively, Master's in a listed discipline with 3 years of relevant experience
- ASA or equivalent professional designation
- Strong judgment, organization, and prioritization
- Effective verbal and written communication of complex mathematical concepts
